In Kind Direct, one of The Prince's Charities, has awarded its UK warehousing and distribution services contract to The Service Business.
The contract will see The Service Business managing the inbound collection of donated goods, and the receipt, sort, storage, redistribution, and transportation of products directly to the doors of around 3,000 charities throughout the UK.
The award enhances the Managed Services capabilities of the company and gives In Kind Direct access to the full range of capabilities of The Service Business within the service supply chain, and at a significantly lower cost than the competition. Operations will commence in January 2009 after the transfer of existing operations from DHL."
